Everything seemed like just another recording for social media, until Tijana began desperately asking to be lowered from the air.
The 19-year-old Serbian woman was on vacation in Budva, Montenegro, when she agreed to take part in a promotional video for a water sports company. Before taking off, she seemed calm and even asked her cousin to film her so she could share the experience on TikTok.
But at almost 50 meters above the Adriatic Sea, she suffered what appeared to be a panic attack. According to witnesses, she shouted “Get me down! Help me!” while trying to remove her harness and life jacket. The camera she was wearing recorded her struggling with the equipment before she fell into the water.
Emergency services recovered her body shortly afterward, but were unable to save her. Tijana died on May 28, 2025, and the Kotor Prosecutor’s Office opened an investigation to review the equipment and safety protocols.
Her family has rejected the idea that she alone was responsible and demanded that what happened be clarified. What began as an experience to share with her followers ended in a tragedy that still leaves questions unanswered.
