Bodhana Sivanandan made history at the chessboard. At 11, the English chess player became the youngest woman to earn the Woman Grandmaster title.

During the 46th Chess Olympiad, held in Samarkand, she completed the third and final norm required to meet the requirements for this distinguished title.

She represented England on board one and played all 11 rounds, scoring eight points.
Samarkand brought her a solid result and a record that is already part of the history of women’s chess.
