For 62 years, Pat kept photographs of a baby she had barely been able to hold for a few minutes. She never stopped wondering what had become of him. 🥹

She was only 15 when her parents discovered she was pregnant and decided to give her son up for adoption. In 1963, a nurse placed him in her arms by mistake, but shortly afterward another nurse took him away. Pat had named him Steven and never forgot that moment.

Decades later, she managed to find him through the British program *Long Lost Family*. Her son, now called Rick, had also searched for her without success and lived without knowing that they had both chosen the same profession: teaching people to drive.

The long-awaited reunion took place in Scotland, where they were finally able to hug after six decades apart.

And Pat had a very special request: she wanted her son to give her his address so she could send him a birthday card for the first time in her life. ❤️
