At 96, Clint Eastwood still walks around the neighborhood and shows no sign of giving up or intending to play the part of a retiree

Clint Eastwood walks slowly, but he walks.

At 96, no one has seen him play the retiree even once. Seventy years in cinema, eight children, and a fortune he built without tricks or shortcuts stand behind him, but he never needed to remind anyone of it. He preferred silence: he supported environmental and social causes away from the cameras, without press releases or staged photos for the occasion.

Stories circulate claiming that he will donate his entire estate to charity. No one has confirmed it. And perhaps that uncertainty is the least of it, because Eastwood has already made clear, without saying a word, that money is not what one leaves behind.  What remains of him is not in a bank. It is in the way he aged without asking permission, with the same discipline with which he started. That is the legacy no one can take away from him anymore.
