Every couple has their own habits, but those of Rio Ferdinand and his wife, Kate, surprised thousands of people.
During a chat on the Therapy Crouch podcast, the former Manchester United defender said that he refuses to use the shared bathroom with his wife when he needs to relieve himself. As he explained, he believes that such situations can affect romance in a relationship.
“I refuse to do it in the same bathroom. I have a serious problem with that”, he confessed.
The rule goes so far that, when they are on holiday at a hotel, Rio prefers to leave the room and walk the corridors in search of another bathroom, even if that means getting up in the middle of the night.
Amid laughter, the former footballer even joked that his wife “has never passed gas in her life” and said that, if that happened in front of him, “the romance could be over”, making it clear that he was speaking humorously.
