Australian boxer Ebanie Bridges, former bantamweight world champion, took a stand against taking part in any fight against a transgender opponent, using a curious comparison.

“If someone is born male, it doesn’t matter what they say or how many hormones they’re taking. You were born male. It’s as if, all of a sudden, Mike Tyson became a woman and fought you. No way!”.

“I think it’s wrong, especially in boxing. I think it’s wrong in all sports. Many women who are breaking records were not originally women”, Bridges concluded.
