The Indiana Fever player, in the WNBA, told ESPN that girls need to be protected in locker rooms and that they should not compete against “biological men”.
“I want to protect girls in locker rooms, or young female athletes who should not have to compete against biological men”, the basketball player stated.
A day later, in front of the microphones before the game against the Connecticut Sun, she did not back down: “I said what I said”, she declared, adding that to her it is pure common sense.
Outside the arenas, trans groups protested and booed her at every game. Inside stores, her Adidas sneakers sold out in hours. She insists that she hates no one, that there is room to love everyone.
