It was amid those kinds of comments that a reflection from the singer about how much people insist on seeing her as she was ten years ago gained renewed traction.
Selena acknowledged that she remembers 2016 fondly, but also feels that many people want to keep her trapped in that version of herself. She even joked about the smoky eye makeup she wore back then and admitted that her life was much more unpredictable at that time.
Today, she says she feels considerably calmer and assures that she likes it that way, even if it doesn’t match the image some followers continue to expect from her.
