What seemed to be just another night of Bad Bunny’s highly anticipated “La Casita” tour turned into controversy when the Puerto Rican reggaeton artist invited former Catalan footballer Gerard Piqué as a special guest to his concert.
The choice did not sit well at all with Shakira’s followers, the Colombian singer who went through a highly publicized and painful separation from Piqué in 2022 after discovering an infidelity.
On social media, thousands of users questioned Benito’s decision, recalling that Shakira mentioned him positively in several interviews and that they even collaborated musically together.
Many considered the gesture a sign of disrespect toward the artist, while others defended that Bad Bunny has the right to associate with whomever he wants.
