Biscuit arrived alone at a door in San Diego when she was just a kitten.
A man took her in without knowing that years later her life would take an unexpected turn. Over time, she was diagnosed with cryptococcosis, a fungal infection that gradually deformed her nose until it was unrecognizable. The treatments controlled the disease, but Biscuit’s nose never went back to being the same.
In June 2025, the situation became more complicated: she developed severe liver disease, stopped eating, and lost a lot of weight. Her owners thought they would lose her. A veterinary team placed a permanent feeding tube, and little by little, month by month, Biscuit began to regain her strength. Today, at 7 years old and with a nose that does not go unnoticed, she continues eating, playing, and running like any happy cat.
