Callum Smith was 2 years old when he fell in love with racing, watching cycling alongside his grandfather Michael.
He was born without arms, but that never stopped him: he writes with his right foot, plays Xbox, plays the guitar, and eats on his own with a knife and fork, all with his feet. At 23, that same absolute control over his body led him to send an email to Team BRIT, the world’s only motorsport team made up entirely of drivers with disabilities. They replied, he passed the tests, and in July 2025 he made his on-track debut at Donington Park, reaching 90 mph. Months later, he reached 100 mph at Silverstone in his own Audi A3.
Today he trains in an adapted BMW 1 Series, mastering a special plate that turns his feet into a steering wheel. His goal is no longer simply to race: he wants to be the first armless driver to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and he says it without hesitation: he will be the first in history.
