Kanya Sesser was found as a baby by the side of a street in Pak Chong, Thailand.

She was born in 1992 without either leg. A woman passing by the school at a Buddhist temple found her and took her to the hospital, where a nurse affectionately known as Nurse Mae Chan and the entire staff took care of her. Years later, she would grow up in Oregon, in the United States.

In Los Angeles, California, Kanya got into a handstand on a skateboard, placed her hands on the board, and held her balance for 19,65 seconds. With that mark, Guinness World Records recognized her record for the longest duration holding a handstand on a skateboard. Nearly twenty seconds that, for her, mean much more than a number.

Today she is a professional skater, Paralympic athlete, surfer, Hollywood actress, and runway model. Her motto says it all: No legs, no limits, no legs, no limits. When she spoke about the record, she said it was one of the moments that changed her career and that she hopes to have left a mark on those who come after her. Her formula is simple: work hard, have fun, and stay positive. The news is from July 2024, and her story continues to speak for itself.
