Michelle and Scott knew what it meant to love someone deeply and have to say goodbye. Michelle lost Jonathan after more than 23 years of marriage and, months later, Scott lost Lisa, his partner of 29 years.
They met through a group for widowed people. At first, they found in each other someone who truly understood their pain, but over time that friendship became a second chance at love.

In September 2024, they decided to get married by the sea in North Carolina. The day began with rain, but by the end of the ceremony, the sky had cleared and a huge double rainbow appeared behind them 🌈. Many interpreted it as a sign of their former partners accompanying them, and they felt it as a blessing.
Michelle and Scott discovered that loving again did not mean forgetting those they had lost. And that day, for a few minutes, the sky seemed to make room for all four of them ❤️.
