Back in 2020, the world was moved by the story of Bridger Walker, the little boy who risked his life to save his younger sister from a dog attack. At just six years old, he stepped in front of the animal to protect her, suffering severe facial injuries that required more than 90 stitches. 😣

Now, almost six years later, Bridger is in sixth grade and, although the scars on his face still reflect his incredible act of bravery, he prefers to be seen as just a “normal kid.”

Since then, he has traveled to Thailand to train in Muay Thai, met sports legends like Bo Jackson and, despite the worldwide attention, continues to focus on school and martial arts.

His family also turned that painful experience into the book “You Can Be a Hero,” hoping to inspire other children to act with courage and kindness. And perhaps the clearest sign of how much he has healed emotionally is that he now even owns a pitbull named Cyborg, showing he was able to overcome the fear that once changed his childhood forever. ✨
