Kapri DeRamus was driving to his wedding when another car hit him head-on.
It happened in Altamonte Springs, Florida, on Saturday, September 5. Tyasia Thomas, his fiancée, learned about the crash just one hour before the ceremony was to begin. Instead of waiting for news, she and her family drove straight to the hospital where Kapri was being treated after fracturing both arms, his jaw, and a rib.
That same night, in a multipurpose room at the hospital, Tyasia and Kapri got married anyway. The groom’s grandfather officiated the ceremony. There was no event venue or perfect dress, but there were rings, vows, and the certainty that this day was going to happen no matter what. 💍
