Brandon was 19 years old and believed he knew exactly where he was.

In the early morning hours of May 2008, in Minnesota, he crashed his car into a ditch after a semester-end party. He walked away uninjured and called his parents so they could guide him home. He told them he was near Lynd. In reality, he was 40 kilometers away, in a town called Porter, walking in the wrong direction without realizing it.

His parents stayed on the line with him for 47 minutes, listening to his footsteps and trying to recognize anything in what he described. Until Brandon said “oh, shit”, and the call was cut off. The phone never rang again. His car was later found with the doors open and the keys missing. As of today, there is still no trace of Brandon.
