On May 31, 2026, Mayk Leão, a 31-year-old Brazilian influencer dedicated to animal rescue, went out to inspect his rural property in Campo Largo, Paraná, and found the electric fence knocked down and his animals agitated. That night he recorded something in the sky that he described as an eye- or disc-shaped object, colored lights, and a red sphere underneath, which remained stationary for several minutes over a nearby river before disappearing.

He posted the video on June 1. In less than a week, he went from 40,000 to 1.9 million followers. The Brazilian Air Force issued an official statement: its radars did not detect any unidentified object that day, and no airport in the area reported any anomaly.

Days later, Leão posted Stories showing black cars with tinted windows parked in front of his house. He said unknown people were watching him and that he was afraid to go outside. The narrative of the so-called “Men in Black” comes exclusively from him: no authority has confirmed or denied that surveillance. Meanwhile, the brand Magazine Luiza hired him for a ufology campaign, and the threats and fake accounts impersonating him have not stopped.
