Leandro de Souza was known as Brazil’s most tattooed man, since nearly 95% of his body was covered in ink, but he decided to begin a new chapter. After converting to Christianity, he began removing the tattoos from his face with laser sessions and is sharing the process on his social media.

Leandro wants to reconnect with himself, regain confidence, and have a fresh start. In his own words, “it is a rebirth, not only of the soul, but of the spirit”. His tattoos, which began at age 13, marked intense stages of his life, but now he is determined to change course.

Today he needs a stable job to support his 10-year-old son and regain care of his sick mother, which he lost when he could not get formal employment. His new appearance seeks to open the doors that were once closed because of prejudice.
