On October 12, 2026, RJ Mitte died. He was 34 years old. According to TMZ, a county official confirmed his death, and authorities are keeping an investigation open.

The world knew him as Flynn, Walter White’s son in Breaking Bad. He appeared in 56 episodes, between 2008 and 2013. He played a teenager with cerebral palsy, the same condition he had lived with since being diagnosed at age three.

Before that role, there was almost nothing. Small jobs, a few extra roles, acting classes. And a boy who, as he himself said, grew up fishing and hunting, and who as a child wanted to be a soldier like his grandfather.

In an interview with Risbel Magazine, he said that if he hadn’t become an actor, he would probably be fishing. In another interview, with La Nación, he said that Breaking Bad gave him the opportunity to have a career.

That’s what he did with it. In 2013, he received the SAG-AFTRA Harold Russell Award at the Media Access Awards. He became an activist for the representation of actors with disabilities in Hollywood. He spoke with young people who saw themselves reflected in his story.

Shortly before his death became known, he appeared on The Joe Vulpis Podcast and spoke about how the series transformed his life.

His representatives said goodbye to him this way: “It is with deep sadness that we share the tragic passing of beloved actor, philanthropist, and passionate advocate for the rights of people with disabilities, RJ Mitte”.

Some people pass through a story. He left a door open for those who come after him. 🕊️ RJ Mitte (1992-2026)
