Nothing seemed out of the ordinary until someone spotted a crab leg on the floor. Brenda Falk, a 54-year-old woman from Wisconsin, was walking toward the exit of the Wynn Las Vegas buffet when several pieces of seafood appeared on the floor near the restaurant entrance. Shortly afterward, according to the employees’ account, a worker saw another crab leg fall from beneath her dress.
Management stopped her at the door as confused customers pointed to the seafood scattered across the floor. According to the restaurant’s account, an embarrassed Falk reportedly admitted that she had tried to hide the crab legs inside her body so she could eat them later in her room. Staff estimated that there were more than 3 kilos, about 7 pounds.
The penalty was immediate: she was banned for life from the buffet. The restaurant reminded guests that all food, seafood or otherwise, must be consumed on the premises.
