He was a dialogue coach on All That and The Amanda Show, two of Nickelodeon’s most-watched series. The investigation began when the family of a minor reported that Peck had abused the teenager over a six-month period, about two years earlier, at the coach’s own home. The teenager was 15. Their name was kept confidential.

Peck faced 11 charges. In May 2004, he pleaded no contest to two: a lewd act with a minor aged 14 or 15, and oral copulation with a minor under 16. In October 2004, he was sentenced to 16 months in prison and required to register as a sex offender. Before sentencing, Hollywood figures wrote letters of support on his behalf.

The silence lasted until March 2024. In the docuseries “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV”, actor Drake Bell revealed that he was that minor.
