Would there be more or fewer people arrested in your country with a plan like this? In Surrey, United Kingdom, the police launched the “Jog On” campaign to curb street harassment.

Several officers dressed in tight sportswear and went out running through critical areas. Incredibly, only 10 minutes passed before the first men began shouting at them from their cars, without imagining that they were undercover police officers.

“It is not a small act, it is something that makes you feel very uncomfortable”, explained officer Abby Hayward. During the last four weeks, after implementing this strategy, there have already been 18 arrests for assaults and inappropriate behavior.

Inspector John Vale warned offenders that the next female runner they see “could be an officer with colleagues ready to arrest you”. With this, they seek to make the streets a safe place for all again.
