Brooke Shields once again caught her followers’ attention, but this time it wasn’t for a movie or a red carpet. The actress from The Blue Lagoon surprised everyone by appearing in a swimsuit during her vacation in Croatia, showing off her figure at 61.
Shields shared photos from her trip in which she appears in a black swimsuit next to a waterfall in Krka National Park, as well as images of her enjoying the sea and jumping from a boat.
The post quickly sparked comments about her appearance and physical condition. However, there was one detail that made the images attract even more attention: shortly after posting them, Brooke deleted the Instagram carousel without publicly explaining why.
The actress, who turned 61 on May 31, has been talking for some time about her relationship with aging and the pressures women face to stay young.
In an interview published by People in May this year, she acknowledged that cosmetic surgery is tempting to her, although she assured that she has not gone under the knife so far.
“I work out, I get facial peels, I haven’t gone under the knife. It seems tempting, but I’m far too afraid of it”, she explained.
She has also said that she tried Botox in the past, but the result did not convince her because she began to feel that her face no longer looked like her own.
Now, however, the images that managed to circulate once again put the spotlight on an actress who has spent more than four decades in the public eye.
And although Brooke decided to remove the photos, her followers had already seen the result of her vacation: a 61-year-old woman enjoying the summer in a swimsuit and not hiding from the camera.
