During an interview with Wayne Rooney, Bruno Fernandes opened up about the biggest motivation he has to win Portugal’s first world championship:
“I hope we win the World Cup not only for Portugal, but for everything Cristiano gave to football. Playing in a World Cup with Cristiano is special; it would be fantastic to win the title together”.
“I watched Manchester United when you and Cristiano played and won year after year. When you arrive at a club like that, you feel that history and want to repeat it”, concluded the Portuguese midfielder.
