RM and J-Hope never imagined that a night of music would end in worldwide controversy.
On August 12, both BTS members attended Usher and Chris Brown’s concert at Rogers Stadium in Toronto. Everything seemed like a normal outing among industry colleagues, until Chris Brown posted a photo with them and J-Hope shared the show on his Instagram stories. That’s when it all began.
For a large part of ARMY, the image was unbearable: Chris Brown carries a history of gender-based violence, with the Rihanna case being the most remembered, and seeing two idols who represent messages of respect toward women sharing space with him felt like a silent betrayal.
Neither RM nor J-Hope nor their agency has said a single word about it. And that silence, for many fans, says as much as any statement. 💬
