Bumper and Willis found a family. The two pit bulls shared a home with Jason and Kelly Garrison when Lynn Terry photographed them in her studio to create a photo-booth-style series.
Bumper had been rescued from dogfighting by Mutts n Stuff. Willis was born after his mother was rescued in a raid targeting dogfighting. The Garrisons took him in when he was six months old, and he ended up staying with them.
Kelly had long wanted portraits of her “four-legged children”. Terry captured their playful expressions, but also a display of affection: Bumper licking Willis in front of the camera.
