He has multimillion-dollar contracts, but his real dream fits inside a barn with two cows 🐄🚜

Erling Haaland, 26, Norwegian striker for Manchester City, said it bluntly in an interview with Sky Sports in 2022: “Buying a farm, driving a tractor and feeding my cows, that is my dream”.

It is not an offhand remark. Haaland grew up in Bryne, an agricultural town of just 12,200 inhabitants near Stavanger, and those roots never left him.

He still visits his uncle Gabriel Høyland’s potato farm there, where he drives a classic 1960s Fordson Super Dexta tractor. In Cheshire, England, he buys raw milk because he considers it a “superfood”.

While he breaks records and signs multimillion-dollar contracts, he already knows where he wants to be when all this is over: in a barn, not in a stadium.
