“Some say Caitlyn Jenner should be the first to support trans athletes”, but she thinks exactly the opposite.
The former Olympic champion once again made her position on the participation of trans athletes in women’s sports clear, this time while criticizing the way the WNBA has handled the debate.
For Jenner, there should be no assessments based on hormone levels or rules that allow athletes to compete depending on each individual case. She proposes a much more straightforward criterion based on chromosomes: “XX, you’re in. XY, you’re out. That’s it”.

And this isn’t the first time she has defended this position. For years, she has maintained that trans athletes should not compete in women’s categories because she believes they may have physical advantages over other athletes.
That’s precisely why her words generate so much debate: Caitlyn is one of the world’s best-known trans women, but on this issue she sides with those who want to keep women’s sports separated according to biological sex.
