Calese Carron Crowder, a 38-year-old man with a history of sex crimes, was arrested for the second time in Burbank, California, after police found him loitering in the women’s clothing section of Nordstrom Rack, where he crouched near female shoppers to smell their buttocks, behavior that had already been documented in previous arrests in Glendale and Burbank since 2021.
The predator, who was on probation, was later located at a nearby Walmart, where he continued following another female shopper, and although he tried to excuse himself by saying he was tying his shoes, authorities already know his modus operandi and immediately detained him, filing a charge of loitering with the intent to commit a crime.
The community remains alert thanks to videos like that of Michaela Witter, who in August 2023 shared on TikTok how Crowder crouched near her legs in a Barnes and Noble bookstore and when she confronted him, he lied by saying he was tying his shoes, a story that has now gone viral and has helped expose this repeat predator.
