Doctor Mohamed Ali Atia filmed the newborn in a city in Egypt’s Dakahlia Governorate, lying in its postnatal care crib with its arms crossed behind its head and one leg over the other, as if it were lounging in a deck chair waiting to be served something cold. The medical team couldn’t believe what they were seeing. No one told the baby it had only just arrived in the world.
Atia uploaded the video to Instagram and surpassed 37 million “likes”. Since the baby wouldn’t drop the pose, the doctor filmed a second attempt to get a reaction, and that clip racked up another 22 million views. In the comments, people have already dubbed it the “mayor of Al-Hassaniya” and jokingly predict a future as a laid-back billionaire. The baby’s real name remains a mystery, but its attitude is already viral.
