The incident occurred in California, during a tense hours-long standoff against an armed suspect who crashed near a school in Jurupa Valley. While CBS LA’s aerial cameras recorded the siege, the officer, taking cover behind an armored vehicle, was swiping through profiles on his phone just a few meters from the chaos.
