In the early hours of June 24, the streets of Caracas filled with a different kind of silence. Not the silence of the night, but that of dozens of people who, with their eyes closed and hands clasped, prayed with all their faith for those who were still trapped under the rubble. 🙏
After the earthquake that shook Venezuela and damaged the structure of a church in the capital, the parishioners had nowhere to go. Some had lost their homes in seconds.
Others knew nothing about their families. So they did the only thing they could: go out into the street, kneel down, and beg for a miracle. The image of those prayer chains in the darkness of the early morning spread across social media and broke hearts. 💔
There are moments when faith is the last thing left. And in Caracas it was also the most powerful.
