Carrie Fisher sent a Hollywood producer a cow’s tongue inside a Tiffany box with the warning: “If you ever touch my dear Heather or any other woman again, the next delivery will be something of yours in a much smaller box”

A blue Tiffany box usually promises a ring or a necklace. This one contained a raw cow’s tongue. According to Heather Ross, a screenwriter and close friend of Carrie Fisher, an Oscar-winning producer assaulted her. When Fisher found out, she didn’t write a letter or wait for others to act. She decided to send him a message he wouldn’t forget: the box, with the tongue inside, arrived in the producer’s hands accompanied by a warning.

According to Ross’s account, the warning left no room for interpretation: if he ever hurt Heather or any other woman again, the next package would be much more personal.

The episode portrays the dark, sharp-edged humor of the actress who played Princess Leia, capable of turning a luxury box into a threat. The account comes from Ross’s testimony: the producer’s name does not appear in the text.
