Catherine Zeta-Jones, 56, treasured a photograph taken the night before her wedding. In the image she appears alongside the legendary singer Bonnie Tyler, her compatriot with whom she proudly shared her Welsh roots and the woman who hours later would sing at her wedding to Michael Douglas.
Bonnie, who was also married to Catherine’s cousin, died at 75 in a hospital in Portugal, as confirmed by her family. Months earlier, the iconic Welsh performer had remained in intensive care after being placed in a coma due to emergency intestinal surgery
“My heart is broken by the news that our beloved Bonnie Tyler has passed away. An extraordinary woman with a matching voice. An artist one of a kind, who easily could have been a comedian because she was one of the funniest people I have ever known”, the actress said.
