Céline Dion was halfway through ‘Dans un autre monde’ when she lost her balance and fell to the floor.
It happened on Wednesday, October 7, at the Plénitude Arena in Nanterre, just outside Paris, during the 11th show of her residency. According to videos, her pants seemed to catch on her heel, although the cause has not been confirmed. The audience held its breath, but she got to her feet within seconds, gave the crowd a thumbs-up, and picked up the song as if nothing had happened.
It wasn’t the only moment of the night. Later, during ‘Pour que tu m’aimes encore’, she forgot the lyrics and told the crowd. The audience sang along with her, and, according to PinkNews, Dion replied: ‘Thank God you’re here.’
At 58, and living with stiff-person syndrome, which she revealed in 2022, she was returning to a full-scale stage for the first time since March 2020. A fall, a thumbs-up, and an entire arena singing for her.
