Chad Hickman was 39 years old when he attacked three different locations in Missaukee County, Michigan, leaving five people dead before he was found dead in a wooded area.
Among the victims were Amanda Everitt, 40, and her son Eric, 16. Amanda’s daughter Bella, just 13, was shot multiple times but survived and managed to call 911, helping authorities identify Hickman as the person responsible.
While police investigate the motive, old social media posts in Hickman’s name resurfaced, including an image of a recent tattoo of the face of Haliey Welch, known as the “Hawk Tuah girl”. But what reveals a more troubling pattern is his court history: in 2024, he pleaded guilty to fourth-degree child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, after more serious charges of strangulation and criminal sexual conduct were dismissed. He also faced domestic violence allegations linked to his divorce.
