Charlene Thompson is 61 years old and lives in Mount Airy, a quiet neighborhood in Cincinnati, Ohio.
On Sunday, December 2, 2018, she was arguing with another woman inside a home on Hawaiian Terrace. At some point during the fight, she took hot grease from the kitchen and threw it over her. The boiling liquid burned the victim’s back and arms, leaving injuries severe enough for police to charge her with aggravated assault.
What authorities found afterward was equally troubling: Thompson already had two outstanding arrest warrants for criminal damage and endangering other people. At her court appearance on Wednesday, an assistant prosecutor for Hamilton County requested a high bail, which was ultimately set at 52.000 dollars. The victim’s identity was never made public, and the case is continuing with hearings scheduled for the middle of that month.
