Aubrey Birrell had just checked into an Airbnb in San Diego, California, and was walking down the hallway when something stopped her in her tracks: a huge canvas with a beach photo hung on the wall. She zoomed in with her phone camera. There, tiny among the waves, were the silhouettes of her dad, her sister Libby and her brother Brady 😳
They even recognized the swimsuit. The photo was nearly 10 years old, they said, and neither sister could explain how it had ended up hanging in a stranger’s home hundreds of miles from where it was taken.
The video Aubrey recorded on July 2 has already surpassed 834,000 views, and in the TikTok comments more than one person compared it to the opening of a horror movie. The mystery of who put that photo there, and why, remains unanswered 🏖️
