A 90-year-old Chinese woman, identified as Ms. Qin, cheated death for two decades without having the slightest idea of the danger she was in. She lives in Xiangyang, Hubei province, and many years ago, while working on her farm in Huangbao, she found a strange elongated piece of metal that seemed perfect to use as a hammer.
For 20 years, the elderly woman used that object for household tasks such as grinding red pepper, cracking nuts, and hammering nails. What she never knew was that the practical tool was actually a Type 67 hand grenade, an explosive that could have caused a tragedy at any moment.
On June 23, workers demolishing her old house found the item and alerted the authorities. Police sent a special unit to remove and dispose of the grenade. In the videos, the wooden handle can be seen already smooth and shiny from use, and the head showed dents from repeated blows.
