One of the phrases I like the most is the one that says “your rights end where mine begin”, because it is profoundly true. An example of this is what happened in this arrest when a woman named Nicole Dubberly went too far, and her neighbors were forced to call the authorities.
The woman is apparently a pyromaniac, and she kept setting part of her yard on fire; the moment for the officers to intervene came when the woman decided to cross the line and do the same to a neighbor’s yard as well. This forced the officer to look for a fire extinguisher and put out the flames to prevent the fire from spreading.
The worst part? When the woman found herself trapped, with the police officer trying to confront her and demanding explanations for what had happened, she appealed to her Christian faith and to how little she believes in the institution, accusing the government of being “satanic”. Faced with these evasions, the officer gradually lost patience and after controlling the fire and the possible dangers, went straight toward her to arrest her.
