Cillian Murphy, 50 years old, the same man who turned Tommy Shelby into a screen legend, has a weakness few people knew about: he believes his wife is almost always right.
In an interview with Elle magazine, the Irish actor spoke about Yvonne McGuinness, his wife since 2004, and uttered a phrase that went viral among his fans: “she is right about most things”.
But he did not stop there. Murphy went further and asserted that women have “infinite wisdom” and an instinctive understanding of right and wrong that, according to him, surpasses any masculine logic.
Behind that reflection lies an entire lifetime: he was raised by his mother and grandmother, with whom he always lived, and grew up alongside two sisters whom he described as “incredible human beings”.
