Concha García Zaera was 78 years old when everything changed. 👵

Years earlier, she had given up oil painting: the smell of the materials became unbearable just when she was spending more time at home, caring for her sick husband. She thought that was the end of her story with art. But her children gave her a computer, and on the screen she found something no one expected: Microsoft Paint.

With an ordinary mouse and infinite patience, this Valencian grandmother began painting landscapes, buildings, and birds with an impossible-to-believe level of detail.

Each work took her entire weeks. Many were inspired by the postcards her husband sent her from his business trips, small memories transformed into art pixel by pixel. 🖥️

Her talent crossed borders: she came to have more than 315,000 followers on Instagram, and even Disney commissioned an illustration of Mary Poppins from her. Concha died in July 2023, at the age of 93, but each of her drawings continues to remind us that creativity knows neither age nor tools.
