Ryota Iwaoka, a 12-year-old Japanese boy, gathered all his courage to ask Cristiano Ronaldo a question… in Portuguese! 🤯
He was so nervous that his pronunciation made many people in the audience start laughing, but Cristiano did not let it slide. In the middle of the event, he stopped everything and defended the little boy in front of everyone.
“Why are they laughing? He speaks Portuguese very well”, said the footballer, asking for respect and highlighting the effort the boy was making to speak in another language.
After that, Cristiano gave him advice the boy would never forget: believe in himself and never let opportunities pass him by.
Years later, that same boy became a professional footballer and, after winning one of Japan’s most important youth tournaments, he dedicated the victory to Cristiano. “I always kept his advice in mind”, he wrote. 😭❤️
