And when it emerged that Portugal’s national team accounts were losing followers across all their social media platforms, she wrote: “And here we go, the world has a way of turning”.
Then she followed up with another pointed remark: “If everything you offered wasn’t enough, offer your absence. Sometimes, absence is the greatest act of dignity and self-respect”.
She doesn’t name the coach, but the context says it all.
