Antonio Cassano held nothing back. The former Italian striker once again went after Cristiano Ronaldo and stated that, despite his goals and titles: “he is not among the greatest in history”.
For Cassano, there is a huge difference between piling up statistics and truly being a genius with the ball. He cited Zinedine Zidane and Andrés Iniesta as examples, two footballers who gave football something numbers will never be able to measure: pure magic.
“Football is not just numbers; it is also talent, creativity and magic”, the Italian fired, making it clear that, for him, Cristiano ended up on the wrong side of that balance.
