A clip has gone viral where a girl and her dad lay out a tense argument about differences in responsibility when it comes to handling money. The young girl casually asked her father for $5000, with the intention of paying for a trip to Egypt with her friends.
The girl starts out hopeful, believing he is going to grant her request; however, although at first he seems to agree, shortly afterward things change dramatically. The father took advantage of the moment to give her a full financial lesson and explain the value of money and how hard he works to earn it.
The girl is left almost speechless when her dad tells her to work, to teach her the system that has worked for him to provide for the family. While some criticized the father’s harshness, others applauded his good intention to teach her financial responsibility. Here is the video of what happened:
