Daisy lost her entire litter. Her seven puppies died in the barn fire in Roseburg, Oregon, on February 20, 2017. For days, she returned to the ruins, as if she still expected to find them. 💔🐶
Her owner, Jessica Woodruff, and her sister asked for help on Facebook. They were looking for puppies Daisy could care for. And the response came from Lorna Murphy, whose dog Chloe had died shortly after giving birth, leaving eight little orphans.

The eight puppies came to Daisy’s home as a temporary foster placement. And, little by little, something very special happened: Daisy welcomed them as if they were her own. She nursed them, cleaned them, and protected them, giving them the love and care they had lost.
Sometimes, even after a loss, love finds a new way to appear. 🐾
