Dana White returned from London, and the first thing she found in her inbox wasn’t a welcome message.
After staying in the city for two weeks, she checked her emails and saw a chain of messages from her mother. They weren’t affectionate. They were threats.

She gave her an ultimatum with two options: “either you give me this money all at once or pay it in installments over a long period”. The reason was that she wanted to buy a bar.

The messages grew increasingly heated, each one harsher than the last. Until Dana couldn’t take it anymore: “In the end, I exploded too”. That outburst, she explained, marked the beginning of the end of their relationship.
There are family stories in which money weighs on more than just the bank account. It weighs on the relationship.
