Dani Olmo decided to speak out, and he did so without filters. The Spanish midfielder publicly responded to Ratón Ayala, who had apologized for the punch he threw at him after the final between Spain and Argentina.
But Olmo did not accept it. According to his version, the entire story of remorse falls apart over one detail: Ayala justified the blow as a response to words that, Olmo insists, never existed. “I did not say absolutely anything to him”, were his exact words.
For the Spaniard, apologizing while maintaining a lie is not apologizing. And with that logic, he closed the chapter with a statement that has already started circulating among fans in both countries.
