In July 2018, Demi Lovato was on the brink of death after suffering an overdose. Years later, the singer revealed that she had suffered three strokes, a heart attack, brain damage, and multiorgan failure. According to her account, doctors told her that if they had found her five to ten minutes later, she probably would not have survived. ❤️‍🩹

When she woke up in the hospital, she was legally blind and could not even recognize her sister, who was at her bedside. Over time, she regained much of her vision, although she was left with blind spots as a result of the damage she had suffered.

Her recovery did not end there either. Demi has spoken publicly for years about her struggles with addiction, eating disorders, and mental health, and in 2024 she revealed that she had been admitted five times for inpatient psychiatric treatment. Since then, she has continued speaking openly about her recovery process and the importance of seeking help.
